About Lone Star Events

Lone Star Events was founded in 2009 to provide unique, creative events and meetings customized for each client.  Run by professionals with combined decades of experience transcending weddings, social, corporate, professional sports teams, and non-profits.  With experience in hotel management, contracts, negotiation, and execution, our goal is to provide stress-free planning to allow each attendee to enjoy their special night.

About Julie-Michelle

Director of Events & Creativity

In 2004, Julie-Michelle began working in the event industry as a VIP Events Hostess in Las Vegas.  While attending college for her Hospitality Management degree with an emphasis in Event Management, she worked a variety of roles from VIP events to conferences and city-wide conventions.

In her time, she has planned almost 400 weddings - from simple elopements to large, complex destination weddings.  Providing individualized attention to each client, she strives to provide unique events to capture each person's personality.

She has worked with various companies and non-profits over the years working everything from conferences, conventions, and fundraisers to board of director meetings and golf tournaments.  

Her hotel and corporate events background have strengthened her contract and negotiating skills and have provided her with a vast network of various vendors.

Having planned both domestic and international events, she has a broad range of experience with which to refer and build upon.  She has planned events domestically in over 15 state, and has traveled as far as China and Guam internationally.

She currently is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and past winner of the Cvent Mobile Maverick award.  She has been a panelist, speaker, and committee member of various organizations.
